Introduction

For Leumadair read Leumadair Enterprises

When you book accommodation, you are entering into a contract with Leumadair.

The contract will exist as soon as you have accepted our offer of accommodation, and we have confirmed receipt of your deposit.

From our initial reply and offer of accommodation, a period of seven (7) days has elapsed then we consider our offer of accommodation to have been refused and reserve the right to offer the accommodation to the open market

Deposit and Payment

A Deposit £15:00 per night / Each Child £5:00 per night with the balance payable on departure

Pets: - A Deposit of £40:00 per pet is required, refundable on departure, provided no damage has been done and no additional cleaning is required

Forms of Payment

We accept all forms of credit or debit card

We will accept credit / debit card details over the phone to confirming booking, using the "customer not present" facility on our machine

Please note that all credit card transactions, will incur a handling charge of 3% of the total cost.

Cheques – Are to be made payable to: - Leumadair Enterprises

Electronic Bank Transfer – Details available on request.

Please do not make cash payments by post.

Leumadair Cancellation Policy

Any requests for a cancellation or change of accommodation should be made to us in writing, by letter, fax, or e-mail, by the person who made the booking, quoting the reference number on our confirmation letter.

Please follow-up with a telephone call to ensure that we have received the cancellation

The deposit is non-refundable

The following exceptions exist; your deposit less 10% will be refunded, if military or civil service, illness, or death, causes cancellation, some form of written proof may be required.

If due to unforeseen circumstance we have to cancel your booking, Leumadair will refund all monies you have paid to us.

We will not be liable for any other expenses you have incurred

Change of booking

If, after we have issued confirmation of your booking, you wish to change your arrival, or departure date, or accommodation type, we will do our utmost to make these changes, but that may not always be possible. If it is not possible then we will inform you.

We reserve the right to change your booking arrangements (but will only do so in exceptional circumstances).

In the event of us having to do so, we will contact you as soon as possible with all details of the changes. In this event, you will have the choice of accepting the change, or cancelling you're booking and receiving a full refund of all monies paid to us.

We shall not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, expense, or injury if you have to cancel or change your travel arrangements in any way because of unusual or unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control.

Booking Conditions Leumadair Guest House

Rooms are usually available from 16.00 hours on the day of entry

The last ferry on certain days in the summer arrives, Stornoway at approximately 0045 hours. We do not accept guests arriving on that ferry except in very exceptional circumstances

Rooms will be held until one hour after the Stornoway evening ferry arrives

Rooms should be vacated by 10.30 hours on the day of departure.

Evening meals, when available, will not be served after 20.00 hours, except by special arrangement.

Breakages

All breakages must be reported, and paid for.

Pets

Although we accept pets, any damage they cause must be paid for.

We are in a crofting community and so all pets must be kept under control.

Pets remain the owner's responsibility at all times.

Pets are to be kept off the furniture including beds

Data Protection

The personal information you supply to us will only be used for the purpose of arranging your booking, updating our customer records, or contacting you for marketing or research purposes. No personal information will be passed on to any one except in the event of an official enquiry by civil authorities.

The Unavoidable Delay

Timings of ferry and air schedules can be subject to change because of timetable changes, weather conditions, or technical problems etc. If this happens to you please inform us and your accommodation will be held until your arrival.

Please check the timings of your preferred means of getting across the Minch very carefully

Last Note

If you have any concerns about possible financial loss, due cancellation or delay, we recommend that you take out travel holiday insurance that covers this eventuality.
