Leumadair Guest House, Callanish, Isle of Lewis, offers guests a true taste of the Hebridean lifestyle and experience.

Leumadair is a working croft situated in the village of Callanish approximately twenty minutes drive from the main town of Stornoway. More famous for its standing stones, Callanish, for those who live there, is a crofting township where the MacLeod family carries on with the tradition of working the land and raising their animals. Although some of the latter are not what you would normally find on a traditional Hebridean croft, but there's no doubt they do make a wonderful addition to the Leumadair fold.

The Guest House accommodation is spacious and comfortable, there is a warm friendly atmosphere, this is a place to relax, an ideal base from which to explore the islands, take in the spectacular scenery, or do something adventurous! There are good restaurants within a short distance from Leumadair, but with a wonderful Bill of Fayre using home grown produce, you have everything on your doorstep. Free wireless broadband is available, if you do require to access your email, or feel withdrawal symptoms.
You can gaze across to the Callanish Stones from almost every window, watch the highland cattle graze quietly on the croft and witness the chickens getting on with producing a free range breakfast. At Leumadair Guest House, you will create memories that will forever remind you of the true magic the Hebrides has to offer. |
